| With the high development of economic globalization and the increasing international economic communication and cooperation, professional and practical business English talents. are in greater demand, therefore, the essences of business English talents cultivation lead to the enhancement of business English language competence and international commercial skills. In other words, pragmatic competence contributes to the qualities of professional business English talents.Based on the study advancement of business English teaching in vocational colleges and core concepts of pragmatics and pragmatic teaching, this thesis mainly discusses four issues, including the necessity of pragmatic competence cultivation in business English teaching, the requirements and traits in vocational business English teaching, fundamentals of vocational business English teaching and pragmatic competence cultivation principles and methods.And its conclusions are as follows. Firstly, the practice of English language and skills and the comprehensive development of moral objects, humanistic quality, cultural consciousness are essentials of vocational business English teaching. Secondly, the fundamentals of vocational business English teaching fall into commensurability, relevance and experiments. Thirdly, the cultivation principles of pragmatic competence in business English teaching in vocational colleges include economy principle and system principle. Last but not least, the cultivation methods of pragmatic competence in business English teaching in vocational colleges are a comprehensive application of teaching management, teacher management and teaching techniques.The application of pragmatic idea in business English teaching in vocational colleges will contribute to the transformation among life experience, discourse and pragmatic experience and will eventually be beneficial for the reinforcement of learners’ business knowledge and the cultivation of their international business communication skills. |
