Research On Teaching Reform Of Business English Majors In Vocational Colleges

As the main pattern to raise applied talented persons of our country , the higher vocational education , undertakes majority of transporting staff and the base unit superintendent's responsibility for the enterprise . Nowadays , a new round of education and teaching reform has been carried out in vocational education sector in China . As a specialty raising compound personnel , Business English is on the edge of reforming . The writer uses ways of datum, interviews, method of comparative analysis, collate and analyzes the materials of Business English course reform in Huang Gang Vocational College. The writer points out the advantages and existing problems based on the analysis and discussion on the results of investigation .Along with the thorough reform and opening policies of our country , the unceasingly development of economical and foreign exchange put forward new demand to the teaching of Business English . At the same time, owing to the English and Business knowledge basis of the vocational college students is generally quite weak, in addition to the partial vocational colleges' educational model and the teaching methods are following the universities, therefore , in the aspects of personnel training plan, teaching systems and curriculum systems , it is already could not meet the need of the development realities . In this paper , on the basis of fully investigation and extensive analysis , combining the current teaching reform situation of Huanggang vocational college and the characteristic of Business English teaching , it has nailed more down the importance and urgency of Business English teaching reforming . The paper stresses on elaborating how to attempt to change new teaching ideas and utilizing new teaching methods , exploring unceasingly new educational model , implementing new teaching reform plan , revising the main curriculum program . Furthermore , the author discussed on the curriculum system and teaching system in the practice of reforming , paid great attention to practical teaching and different levels' teaching as well as the improvement of the teaching methods and assessment . At the same time , the paper points out we should carry out unceasingly the modernized teaching with multimedia and strengthen student's extracurricular activities , try our best to make high level's teaching staff and enhance gradually teachers comprehensive quality , gradually summarize and establish rational managing models and assessment systems in the teaching practice . It has been proved in the practice that the reform of Business English Majors in Huang Gang Vocational College has obtained favorable effect.
