Gong Linna has employed characteristics of drums Chinese opera and blended those of libretto in her performance of Tan Te. Commonly used features of timbre by multiple roles in Chinese opera, such as pantaloon, old gentleman, blackhead, and Hua Dan, etc.have an endless variety in an extremely fast-changing rhythm,with exaggerated transformation,which is full of originality.The performance of the work is quite difficult, for it not only has wider ranges of tones, but it is infinitely variable in terms of rhythm and timbre. This study, from the angle of analysis on aesthetic features of the song of " Tan Te",has made focal discussion of features of "Tan Te" performed by Gong Linna, aimed at getting a more comprehensive understanding of the music noumenon and perfo rmances features of the song, thereby making a comprehensive study cultural value and artistic expression of the work.
