In today’s social context, the concept of multiculturalism has a great influence on the school art education in the world. The issue of art education is no longer limited to the art itself, but extends to a wider range. Because of the new development of art education and new social demand, the art education in nowadays should base on the community, to develop new curriculum resources, using new teaching methods, and pay more attention to social issues, such as "cultural identity", "multicultural view".This research is based on the theory of Community Based Art Education, which is based on the theory of Multicultural Art Education.This paper is under the guidance of the theory, from the curriculum target, curriculum resource development, organization of curriculum and curriculum evaluation aspects to explore the community orientation of art education curriculum design. Through the practice, it be proved that the design of this curriculum is effective. This curriculum can help students to learn their community, enjoy their community, serve their community, train student’s comprehensive ability and learn their own culture based on their community. Especially to learn how to deal with the culture of other nationalities with equal attitude.So, this paper will be composed of the following four parts:The first part, it is to know that the curriculum of community based art education’s significance, domestic and foreign present situation,content, objective and implementation plan with the background of globalization and diversificationThe second part, would focuses on what the theory of community based art education is. Including the theory’s definition. And the value of fine art education, the value of social. As well as the value for our student.The third part, to explore how to design the curriculum of community based art education with the curriculum goal, curriculum resources development, curriculum content organization. And to answer how to set objective, teach, choose valuable resource and how to implement the plan.The fourth part, this part mainly to show the problems that encountered in my teaching practice. And how the gap between the plan and practice is. Show the solutions and countermeasures to solve the problem. And introduce how to use the “learning paper” that can help student learning outside the school.
