At present, the graduates are facing with a great employment pressure. Because of the wide enrollment and the simple teaching method, English major graduates have an even greater one. Entrepreneurship education was first carried out in USA,and becomes the main force to promote the economic development of America. Since the end of the last century, our country also actively learns from the successful American experiences, develops our own entrepreneurship education courses, and has achieved good results. Qian Jiang College is also active in the development of entrepreneurship education courses. But entrepreneurship education curriculum is not developed for English majors. So the understanding of the characteristics of English majors, and developing the corresponding entrepreneurship courses is important for them. This paper puts forward the blueprint of entrepreneurship education courses,thereby can better serve English majors. The paper mainly consists of five parts:The first part is the introduction. It mainly elaborates the background and current situation of entrepreneurship education and studies about Entrepreneurship education curriculum at home and abroad. It gives the significance of the research,the definition of related concepts and research methods.The second part is to discuss two important theories, which are the cornerstones for entrepreneurship education curriculum design: social learning theory from Bandura and planned behavior theory from Ajzen.The third part is the survey results and analysis of entrepreneurship courses for English majors. Two-dimensional angles are covered: the students and the school.The survey includes a questionnaire survey for Grade12\13\14 and Grade08\09\10 students with e-mailed questionnaires and telephone interviews. At the same time, Qian Jiang College’s entrepreneurship courses and English major courses were stated, analyzed.On the basis of the existing curriculum system, the fourth part puts forward the idea of setting up an entrepreneurship education courses blueprint. Seven aspectsare included: organization, implementation object, teaching, curriculum structure,arrangement and time, teaching methods, evaluation,and the existing difficulties.The fifth part mainly deals with the research conclusion and prospect. The author believes that putting entrepreneurship education into present curriculum will make students’ job hunting easier, the same with their own business starting. |
