The Effect Of Public Self-awareness And Past Temporal Distance On Moral Psychological License

Purpose:moral psychology license is a new research field in recent years,which is committed to solve the prominent problems in the field of morality.This research take the public self-awareness and past temporal distance as the independent variables, moral psychology license as the dependent variable, in order to investigete the effect of the public self-awareness and past temporal on moral psychology license, rich the research of moral psychology license and reduce the Moral transgressions in real life.Methods: there are 3 study in our research. study1 used a 2*2 between-subject design.we take the questionnaire method to measure public self-awareness, behavior-recall approach to measure past temporal distance, and through moral evaluation to measure moral psychological license, to examine the effect of public self-awareness and past temporal distance on moral psychological license.In study2,which is based on study1, we operate the public self-awareness,using scrambled-sentence task to measure the public self-awareness, also aimed to examine the effect of public self-awareness and past temporal distance on moral psychological license and to consolidate the results derived from study 1.Study1 recruited 160 undergraduate students to participate this experiment, obtain 148 valid data.Study 2 recruited 100 undergraduate students to participate this experiment, obtain 95 valid data.We use SPSS20.0 to analyze those data.Results: people who are high in public self-awareness,the acceptability of transgression is lower than those who are low in public self-awareness(F=14.751,p<0.01); people who set public self-awareness,the acceptability of transgression is lower than those not set public awareness(F = 13.743, p < 0.01);people who are in past near temporal distance,the acceptability of transgression is higher than those are in the past far distant time(F=52.366, p<0.01);there are a the significant interaction by public self-awareness and past temporal distance(F=5.104, p < 0.05).Conclusion:public self-awareness influence moral psychology license, public awareness is higher,the acceptability of transgression is lower; past temporal distance influence moral psychology license,the time distance is more far,the acceptability of transgression is more low.public self-awareness and past temporal distance mutual influence moral psychological license.
