Ghost in China has a profound cultural accumulation, literature in ancient China influenced deep. Ghost image in literature seems to never stop. Throughout the entire Chinese literature history from the ancient myths, prose of the Pre-Qin, Han Dynasty’s Ci and Fu, Tang’s Legend to the Six Dynasties’ Occult and Mysterious novel, Song of the words, Drama of Yuan Dynasty, the Ming and Qing’s Ghost Stories, Ghost culture from beginning to end without interruption. Drama as one of the important literary forms is also deeply affected. Yuan Dynasty as an important stage in the history of Chinese drama and the golden age of Chinese Drama development. The existing 162 kinds of Yuan Dynasty in 17 species related to ghosts, while the previous one object of this system is still relatively little research. Therefore, its research contributes to a more profound understanding of the Drama of Yuan Dynasty.This thesis consists of 4 chapters.Chapter 1 mainly studied the causes of Yuan Dynasty’s Drama about ghosts. The formation of the Yuan Dynasty drama about ghosts has deep historical and social causes. Chinese Ghost cultural development and literature of Ghosts words tradition, it laid the solid foundation for the Yuan Dynasty drama about ghosts. Flourishing development of religion and the change of Mentality of Scholars of the Yuan Dynasty to the Yuan Dynasty drama about ghosts had a significant impact. Chapter 2 mainly studied the ghost’s images of the Yuan Dynasty’s Drama about ghosts. Ghost image is divided into four categories according to subject matter. On this basis, the ghost image is also through its illusory shell to convey the genuine feelings of revenge and emotional content.Chapter 3 mainly studied the surface double structure and the single structure has a deeper purpose which contains a pursuit of fairness, make contributions, the pursuit of true feelings of love.Chapter 4 mainly studied the custom of the Yuan Dynasty’s Drama about ghosts. Drama of Yuan Dynasty is a folk literary. Its content is inseparable from lower natural people. It involves very complete funeral customs, abundant language and spirit of folk customs. Summarize these folk phenomena. Enable us from a different perspective, a more systematic and in-depth understanding of general overview and features of the Yuan Dynasty drama about ghost.
