English is becoming more and more important with informationization of the social life and globalization of the economy. Under the network environment, building the information-based teaching platform to aid teaching has become a mainstream teaching method in all kinds of schools. Nowadays, how to integrate a variety of multimedia teaching resources into higher vocational college English teaching, which can help to share the teaching resources, to motivate the students’ interests and to change the traditional teaching model, has become the main goal of the reform in English teaching in higher vocational colleges.This thesis gives a detailed explanation to the situation of computer assisting English teaching in higher vocational college in our country and analyze its usage abroad. Through comparisons at home and abroad, according to the information model provided by student information database in higher vocational colleges in our country, and with the query and inference of computer system, the strategy which is suitable for collective and individual teaching of talent cultivation in our country has been produced.This subject exploits and realizes the system according the reality of Luoding Vocational and Technical College. This system uses B/S three-tier architecture, NET Exploratory Platform, ASP.NET Language and SQL Server Database. This thesis grounds on computer assisting English teaching in higher vocational college, take advantage of software engineering of computer development, and analyzes the basic demand according to steps of software development. Through system design and software development, the writer overcomes many difficulties to realize the system and narrates a computer assisting English teaching system. Now, the computer assisting English teaching system has been put into use in English teaching in our college. It achieves the expected goal. With the system, it simplifies teaching and learning between teachers and students. For example, teachers can check the lessons they hold and upload their teaching demands and teaching materials. At the same time, students can communicate with teachers about questions, download materials and have vairous English tests. It can increase the interaction between teachers and students, bridge the gap between teachers and students because of time and space, omit the unnecessary parts in the traditional patterns, realize the informationization of the teaching management and promote the communication between teachers and students.This paper is divided into six parts, including user management, clearance simulation, my world, vocabulary world, teaching analysis, discussion area. It aims to cover the daily use of the system, teachers’ study of the students, the master of PPT, the understanding of the students’ study which can help to save time in these aspects, such as the input of the scores, the change of the recording way. It also provides self-made daily study and exercises to study the words and learn more quickly. The students can download PPT and multimedia resources to improve their interests in study and have a foreign language learning atmosphere. The students can ask questions and check the teaching videos to reduce the blind spots in teaching..
