The problem of Japanese pirates is an important issue in Ming Dynasty. In Ming Dynasty, China’s vast coastal areas were constantly harassed by pirates. Guangdong province was no exception. Based on the research of the activities of Japanese pirates and Chinese pirates, this dissertation has found a lot of problems, and has found some mistakes in existing relevant researchers, such as the mistakes on the time and place in the process of the historical data analysis, the lost of some important events, or different researchers have the same problem debating contradictory. In this paper, by the chronological research of the Japanese pirates and Chinese pirates in Guangdong of Ming Dynasty and by carefully combing the historical data, this paper has corrected the predecessors of the some deviation.In addition, this paper studies the time and space characteristics of the Japanese pirates invadation of Guangdong in Ming Dynasty. It was not only linked to the risk of the situation in all of the country, but also has significant regional characteristics. The infestation of Japanese pirates aggressions to Guangdong in Ming Dynasty can be divided into four periods: Hongwu, between Yongle and Jiajing 32 years, the time between Jiajing 33 years and Longqing, Wanli later. Because of the influence of monsoon, Japanese pirates aggressions to Guangdong had monsoon season regular. The Japanese pirates was likely to invade Guangdong in winter, especially between northeasterly annual November to March the following year. Tidal influence on the activities of the pirates of the performance was that when the water is full, pirates most easily dispatched. As the characteristics of space of pirates intrusion in Guangdong, this article has a deep research on it on the basis of The Ming dynasty in guangdong province was divided into eastern, central and western three way. Chaozhou Fu and Huizhou Fu on the east, Qiongzhou Fu on the west and Guangzhou Fu on the center were most invaded frequently by Japanese pirates.Again, this paper has studied the time and space characteristics of the Chinese pirates invadation of Guangdong in Ming Dynasty, too. The Chinese pirates who constantly Harassed Guangdong mostly came from the southeast coastal areas, particularly from Zhangzhou and Quanzhou in Fujian as the most important region. From the time characteristics of speaking, Chinese pirates were frequently invaded to Guangdong during Jiajing, Longqing and Wanli. From the regional distribution perspective, the aggression activities of the Chinese pirates to Guangdong in Ming Dynasty piracy were more frequent in areas of Chaozhou government and Huizhou on east Road, and Qiongzhou government on west road, and the Guangzhou government on middle road.Finally, this paper has discussed the damage of the invation by the Chinese pirates and Japanese pirates in Guangdong of Ming Dynasty briefly, from the destruction of the loss of population, economic lost and social chaos.Through the study of time and space characteristics of the Japanese pirates and Chinese pirates invadation in Guangdong of Ming Dynasty and textual research on some related problems, this paper has clarified the regular of the aggression activity of the Japanese pirates and Chinese pirates invadation in Guangdong of Ming Dynasty and the historical conditions.The research is of great significance of the study on the Japanese pirates and Chinese pirates invadation of Ming Dynasty.
