A Study On The Case Development Of MTCSOL

Based on literature research methodology, experience summary method and quantitative analysis, this paper studied the beginning and development of case development and talked about the theoretical foundation and procedure of the MTCSOL case developmentBecause of the importance of case method and the shortage of cases, case development causes much concern. In order to learn how to develop cases, we take a vies of the historical development of the case development. And we conclude the experience from the success of the three major MBA case basements in China, hoping to provide a reference for the case development of MTCSOL.Then, we talked about the theoretical foundation of the MTCSOL case development. This part discussed the definition, classification, and the characteristic of favorable cases. By reading more than 300 cases, we conclude the shortage of on line and published cases:lack of original cases, excessive low quality adapted cases; lack of inadequate type and comprehensive case,excessive demonstration-type cases; inadequate case writing and incomplete case description.Focus on the shortage, and based on the theoretical foundation, we design a process for MTCSOL case development, including the people involved and related, the preparation, the writing part, the testing and modifying. At last, we make a sample of language teaching cases. In the sample, we pay a lot attention to the case description, which is inadequate in most of nowadays cases. We hope this paper could make a modest contribution to the professional development of MTCSOL cases.
