In the last century seventy or eighty’s,Jia Pingwa dedicated to select the local social changes of social transformation and change in Chinese as his novels’ background, which focuses on revealing the people who live in the modernization process in the face of shocks of self effacing and restless spirit dilemma.Thus somewhat showed traumas of times, showing an elite writer’s anxiety and suffering to the Chinese social reality.However, in the 90’s,Jia Pingwa resolutely stripped from the initial simple Shang Zhou pastoral. After witnessing the impetuous and decadent modernization transformation of Chinese society, deeply and sadly feeling traditional fracture and the lack of belief brought in the social transformation and reformation. After this kind of anxiety and hopeless pursuit,The content and the wide view in Jia Pingwa’s novels reflect the characteristics of the times of modernity. In twenty-first Century, Jia Pingwa used a heavy strokes, elegiac mood realized the end of traditional native literature narrative in his novels. In this heavy, confusion despair, Jia Pingwa continued to illuminate mainly secular people with the “human consciousnessâ€of modern consciousness. He is standing on the view of great humanistic concerns, showing the spiritual pursuit that beyond the trivialization of secular life background, thus realizing the breakthrough of modern consciousness of the hopeless pessimism.This paper selects the female images of Jia Pingwa’s novels as the breakthrough, Through the change of female images, aesthetic evolution of female images exploring the underlying thought pulsation in Jia Pingwa’s novels. So,under the reflection of the times’ overall concept, Jia Pingwa through depicting the characterization of female characters in each period of ups and downs of the fate of rteality, permeated his unique aesthetic of women perception and experience of life. |
