Since 2006, the policy of "Ad hoc posts plan" in western China has been carried out by the central government (namely, the teachers’ AD hoc posts plan of the compulsory education in rural area schools). This policy aims to promote the balanced development of urban and rural education through the open recruitment:transferring college graduates to western rural areas to be teachers. Consequently, the number of the "Ad hoc post teachers" group has increased rapidly in recent ten years, which necessarily results in those teachers’ high occupational stress and mental health problems.According the existing literature, this study chose "Ad hoc post eachers" that come from five different primary and secondary schools in Bijie town, Guizhou province, as research objects; compiled the "Questionnaire on Occupational Stress of Ad hoc post teachers in Guizhou Province". This self-made questionnaire and SCCS (Self Consistency and Congruence Scale) are both used to measure the subject groups, in order to explore the relationship between the Ad hoc post teachers’ occupational stress and their mental health status. Finally, this study could provide a theoretic basis to solve the Ad hoc post teachers’ psychological problems. The study has revealed that:1. After item analysis and exploratory factor analysis by SPSS 18.0 software carries out on the sample 1, the teachers’ occupational stress of the four factors model are extracted, i. e. "working environment and treatment", "working nature and characteristics", "subject teaching ability" and "interpersonal relationship", they contains a total of 27 items. Those four clear factors’ structure could explain 53.719% of the variance.2. The confirmatory factor analysis is carried out on the sample 2 by Amos18.0 software. On the analysis, each index basically meets the requirements of psychometrics, and questionnaire fitting is acceptable and with a good construct validity. Moreover, the scientific and appropriate evaluation on the content of the questionnaire bears a good content validity. In addition, the internal consistency reliability of the questionnaire which is surveyed is 0.746, the items and the dimension is highly related, which reveals a good reliability. Texts show that the questionnaire can be used as a standardized tool.3. By using self-made questionnaire and SCCS to test sample 3, the results showed that:(1) The overall occupational stress level of Ad hoc post teachers in Guizhou province is fairly high; it reaches the highest score of 4.09 on the dimension of "working nature and characteristics". There are significant differences among teachers’gender, professional, working place, salary, and class variables, but no significant difference in their age and teaching years.(2) The mental health status of Ad hoc post teachers in Guizhou province is not optimistic. Except the of self-flexibility dimension, the rates of high-score groups all surpasses 50%, and it presents the non-normal distribution overall which shows that the mental health status of Ad hoc post teachers in Guizhou is becoming a big problem to be solved. To be specific, significant differences appear on gender, profession and salary; while, there are no significant differences in age, working place, teaching age and class variables.Ad hoc post teachers’ occupational stress is positively correlated with their mental health status, namely, the greater the occupational stress of Ad hoc post teachers is, the higher degree of psychological ill health is. The result of "disharmony between oneself and experience" is more related to factors of "working environment and treatment", "subject eaching ability". And one’s "inflexibility of self is more linked with ’working nature and characteristics", "interpersonal relationship".
