The Investigation Of The Confucius Institute At Angeles University Foundation In The Philippines

Confucius Institute at Angeles University Foundation was established on January,2010. After five years’ management and innovation, Confucius Institute at Angeles University Foundation has made great progresses and now becomes the most popular brand for both Chinese language teaching and Chinese culture propagation. This thesis is based on my experience of being a Chinese volunteer teacher in Confucius Institute at Angeles University Foundation. By using the method of questionnaire and interviewing, this thesis is trying to find out the reason why Confucius Institute at Angeles University Foundation made such a big advance in only five years. After the research of teaching, management, Chinese culture activities about Confucius Institute at Angeles University Foundation, I find out some original programs built up by Confucius Institute at Angeles University Foundation, which includes the cooperation with the Department of Education of the Philippines, local mandarin teacher training. These original programs show the spirit of open-minded and innovation of Confucius Institute at Angeles University Foundation, which can also be learned by other Confucius Institutes. At last, this thesis also bring forward expectations for the Confucius Institute at Angeles University Foundation. They include strengthen the partnership relationship with the Department of Education,push forward the native Chinese teaching and make contribution to the University’s progress actively.
