A Research On The Constitution Of The Structure Criterion Of Chinese Composition

Even there is abundant research results about the structure criterion of Chinese composition,they are not scientific, consistent and practical. This thesis is based on the previous study results.By concluding and consolidating the related study results, this thesis developed the structure standards that serve the Chinese Proficiency Test of Chinese writing essay. These structure standards include five level-A criteria, which are "the complete structure" "clear hierarchy" and "reasonable order" "detailed slightly proper" "coherent". Then this thesis refined these five level-A criteria and studied out several level-B criteria. It also gave some examples to interpret.In order to verify the structure criteria of the Chinese composite given in this thesis. We used the method of equidistance sampling to get 90 composition samples from the global Chinese essay writing pre-test composition of the College of Chinese Education Research in Jinan University. All of these compositions are titled as "Didn’t do well in the test today". Two raters scored these compositions entirely as well as parts. The scores includes five structures. By using the method of multiple regression and differences in statistical test, this thesis verified those criteria referred in this paper. The results came as follows:(1) There was a correlation between the two scores of entire and parts given by the raters. This proved that the structure criteria referred in this thesis are somehow reasonable; At the same time, we found that among the five structure criteria of Chinese composition "the complete structure" "reasonable order" is the important factors that would influence the composition scores.(2) Through analyzing the differences between the two markers, we found that except the "detailed slightly proper", there is no difference between the two rates’ score between the other four structure criteria. This situation shows that the criterion of "detailed slightly proper,well-proportioned" is hard to handle and it needs further research.
