Recitation is a traditional and efficient language-teaching and learning method in China. Recitation strategy emphasizes reading, reciting text and memorizing, which is widely used in the teaching of Chinese as the first language and second language.Based on Stephen D. Krashen’s Input Hypothesis and focused on Central Asian students’ Chinese learning, this thesis is to work on the problem they encounter in Chinese learning by practicing recitation strategy. It is to explore the practical use of practicing recitation strategy and the inspiration of this strategy to Central Asian Students’ Chinese learning.It is concluded that reciting texts is an effective way of improving students’ interest in Chinese learning and Chinese teaching. Comparison of Teaching experiment and review of questionnaires before and after the experiment is to highlight the feasibility and effectiveness of recitation strategy. They prove that most students are positive about the practice of recitation strategy. It shows that recitation strategy is beneficial to the improvement of Central Asian students’ Chinese learning and is of practical value.
