The Study On The Words In Old Uyghur Scripts Siddhasàra

"Siddhasàra" is an India’s ancient medical books, and an influential Indian classical medical literature, who’s author named Ravigupta. It was written by Sanskrit languages about in the mid-7th century, and has been translated into the Tibetan language, the ancient language of Hotan, old Uighur language and Arabic, and had a profound impression to the development of the medical cause of the ancient use of these language areas. "Siddhasàra" is a classic medical book. Its vocabulary is largely concerned with the medicine is not in doubt, for what the study of sources of medical literature vocabulary is a very important part of the literature study. Literature sources vocabulary can reflect many aspects of the life at that time, and this is why the comprehensive study is very necessary.Based on a comprehensive collection and "Siddhasàra" article on the relevant domestic and international data, in this passage firstly give the 21 pieces of transliteration and translation of individual words "Siddhasàra" in old Uighur language in Chinese and Modern Uighur language, and made some comments in my point of view. The second part is the type classification in which vocabulary is divided into body parts name, nonaggressive class vocabulary, vocabulary class of drugs, medical special class vocabulary, medical tools and other types of vocabulary, focusing on one of the etymology of the word has been studied. From the perspective of Contact linguistics and the fragments of foreign words are classified into major Chinese Loanwords, Tocharian loan words, Sogdian Loanwords, Sanskrit loan words, Middle Persian loan words, loan words in Tibetan, Mongolian Loanwords etc. These loanwords were statistically analyzed in this paper.
