| A group of overseas Chinese Muslim immigrants has inhabited Central Asia, including Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, who is called "Dungan". Dungan people not only survived and developed in Central Asia but also contribute to local socio-economic prosperity and maintained their ethnic traditions. The Dungan language is the language used by Donggan families with its origin from the modern northwest Chinese dialects of the late Qing Dynasty. Dungan language is a language standardized by the pronunciation of Gansu dialect which is based on the Chinese Northwest dialects. Dungan people not only master Dungan language and Russian but also use Kyrgyz, Kazakh and other languages.This paper attempts to start from the angle of the loan words of Dungan language. By using the field research, both synchronic and diachronic research approaches, and specific corpus of Dungan loan words, the paper thoroughly, systematicly and deeply studies Dungan loan words. By the field survey of Dungan Kanbulu ghettos in Kyrgyzstan, the paper found 90% people speak the Dungan language as their mother language of the total number of the surveyed respondents. All the interviewees master two or more languages. Russian is the most widely used language, followed by the Dungan language, and Kyrgyz language even less. The Dungan language has changed in the multi-ethnic contacts: pronunciation and grammar, the borrowing of words, code mixing and conversion, loss of semantics, the mother language of some groups of people have been assimilated by other languages etc. Many scholars believe that borrowing is the perfect complement to lexical resources, which is also the most important part of its development. Overviewing Dungan vocabulary panorama, the paper thoroughly classifies vocabulary and formed a clear category of Dungan loan words. Through the loan words statistical research of the long novel Snowflake, there are 85% Russian loan words of all in the text, 11.25% for Arabic loanwords, 1.2% for Persian loanwords, 1.2% for Turkic loan words. The thesis analysis the Dungan loan words by the aspects of semantics, pronunciation and grammar, and make the following conclusions: 1. the semantic change of Dungan loan words has been generally realized by judging the concepts of words, and the polysemy loan words only choose the basic meaning; 2. the pronunciation of loan words mostly have changed the origin language words’ to adopt the rules of Dungan pronunciation; 3. there is no attribute division in Dungan language grammar. The borrowed words from Russian have lost their attributes which bear no special significance to Dungan language. At present, the competitive relationships between Russian and Chinese loan words and the increasing number of Chinese loan words exist in the current trends of Dungan loan words. While in Kyrgystan all languages have harmoniously developed, the extinction trend of Dungan language is inevitable.With the rapid development of science and technology and the accelerated pace of global modernization, the Dungan language has changed under the influences of in Central Asia and the impact of multi-ethnic languages. The study of the internal change is very valuable. The innovation points are the fieldwork of Dungan language situation in Kyrgyzstan, the translation of Dungan academic writings of loan words theory, summary the number and type of Dungan language loanwords, analys of the changes of Dungan loan words in semantics, pronunciation, grammar upon the impact of Dungan language, sums up the variation order of Dungan loan words.
