China and Korea have maintained close relations since the ancient times. Korea has been deeply influenced by China culture, especially in literary field. Korea, which also belongs to the Sinosphere, is strongly influenced by Chinese literature. Chinese characters and poetry have run through the entire development history of Korea literature. However, this situation has greatly changed since late 19th century. The influx of western and Japanese culture has ended the original unidirectional China-Korea cultural export, and the literary relation between China and Korea is no longer the original single influential relation either. The modern relation between China and South Korea has developed into the "influential+ parallel" one.During the hardships of the nation and the decline and fall of the country, the intellectuals of both China and Korea have consciously undertaken the task of social enlightenment, hoping to awaken the indifference and ignorance of the public. In China, the literati sponsored by Liang Qichao launched "Poetic Revolution", and the representative works is Yinbingshi Shihua of Liang Qichao; influenced by China’s "Poetic Revolution", Korea also launched "Dongkuk Poetic Revolution", and the most representative works is Chonhidangsihwa of Shin Ch’aeho. Though there is obvious sign that Chonhidangsihwa is affected by Liang Qichao, the two nations have different historical backgrounds, and confront different situations of semi-colonial and semi-feudal society and colonial society respectively in modern times, so the revolutionary tasks are also different. Therefore, despite some similarities existing in Yinbingshi Shihua and Chonhidangsihwa, the differences are also obvious. This paper attempts to find out the similarities and differences between the two works, and further explore the reasons for the similarities and differences through a comparative analysis of these two poetry critiques. The first part of this paper is introduction, elaborating the research purpose, research status and research methods adopted by this paper. The second part of this paper is preparatory discussion. Before conducting the comparative study of the two poetry critiques, it is necessary to discuss the ancient tradition of poetry education of China and Korea, besides, there should also be a brief introduction on the form of poetry critiques. In addition, there is also a specialized discussion on the influence of Liang Qichao on Korea during the civilized period in this part, which lays a foundation for the following study. The third part of this paper discusses the emergence and development process of both Poetic Revolution and Dongkuk Poetic Revolution, because the creating background of the two poetry critiques is closely linked to the poetic revolution of the two nations. Therefore, a summary of the poetic revolution is necessary. The forth part of the paper conducts a comparative study of Yinbingshi Shihua and Chonhidangsihwa from aspects of content, form and language. In aspect of content, the analysis is conducted from three levels, namely, patriotism, militarism and artistic conception; in aspect of form, the comparison between "old style" and "national poetry", "a combination of poetry and music" and "traditional tunes" is made; in aspect of language, the analysis of the two poetry critiques is conducted from the application of new statements, colloquial and common saying.
