Research On Zhoushan Island Culture Ecological Protection

The development of Marine economy and construction in Zhoushan islands has led to the damage of the natural and cultural ecological environments. As a result, the maintainace of the marine reproduction capability and the utilization of the marine resources in Zhoushan Islands are facing a few challenges. Therefore, both the development and protection, the pollution control and ecological restoration, must be involved in the entire construction of the marine ecology. In this paper, cultural ecology was adopted as the theoretical basis to analyze the environment of the cultural ecology, its evolution process and characteristics in Zhoushan Islands. The development and protection strategies were also proposed. Taking the Pituo Buddhist Culture (also known as Guan’in Culture) as an example, it is noted that multiple factors, such as cultural, ecological, economic, technological and human factors, must be considered altogether to promote the harmony development of nature and human being as well as the inheritance and updates of cultural characters.In this paper, the recent conservation work in cultural heritage was summarized. The natural environment in the island is relatively isolated and its cultural ecology is also vulnerable to the external cultures. So this study is helpful for the preservation practice of the cultural ecology in the coastal islands in the country.
