| Administrative aptitude test(AAT) is one the subjects of civil service exam. Most of the topics present in textual form and require people to read, analyze and extract the effective information during certain period of time, which examines the comprehensive ability of language analysis and application. The AAT text questions which can highlight the textual means and investigate the textual analysis ability of language are chosen carefully. What’s more, the cohesion and coherence are very important in textual research. We will have comprehensive understanding and awareness regarding the text after analyzing the textual cohesion and coherence. The purpose of this article is to analyze and research the texts which are chosen as ATT questions by using the theory of cohesion and coherence and combining with linguistics in semantics, pragmatics, rhetoric, article science, stylistics and so on.There are five parts for the article. This first part is introduction which introduce some information about research including elected article origin, research content, research purpose and significance, research method a corpus sources. It highlights the knowledge of the AAT, including topic categories and criteria. The second part is about some research related to the textual cohesion and coherence and the result of the review. It mainly introduces the concept of text, the research of textual cohesion and coherence and the study of the relationship between cohesion and coherence. The third part mainly analyzes the textual cohesion of AAT questions. The textual cohesion includes reference cohesion, logical link, and lexical cohesion. The cohesion concentrates on the study of surface structure of AAT texts. The fourth part of the article analyzes the textual coherence of AAT questions. The textual coherence includes coherent textual colorific, coherent textual topic, and coherent textual structure. The coherence focuses on research of textual semantics in the deep structure. The conclusion part summarizes the purpose of this paper is to study the textual cohesion and coherence of language expression and understanding in the AAT questions. What’s more, it points out that the text need to be studied from the perspective of cohesion and coherence and combining form and meaning of the text, which is the great significance for us to correct word explanation and grasp textual integrity. |
