At present, the study about Zhangye dialect in less than ten papers, and the ten paper mainly voice, rarely involves the dialect vocabulary. The significance of this paper research is Collating and description of Zhangye dialect vocabulary, reveals the characteristics of the formation of dialect vocabulary Zhangye, and Zhangye dialect and mandarin words in form, the differences on the meaning of words, dialect vocabulary in Zhangye have a more specific and profound understanding. At the same time also for us to study the diachronic development of language, explore the folk culture and traditions of the local dialect,etc.This paper mainly employs the field surner, description, comparison, analysis methods to reveal the characteristics of Zhangye dialect vocabulary. Try to reveal the characters of the vocabulary of Zhangye dialect in word-formation, sematics by comparing Zhangye dialect with Putonghua and analysing it. Then, This paper discussed folk culture in Zhangye dialect vocabulary, attempting to employs the characteristics of Zhangye dialect vocabulary from internal and external dimensions.This paper consists of four parts:The preface mainly introduced the research situation of Chinese dialect vocabulary.The significance, methods and research instruction were described.we introduct of Zhangye’s geography, history and research situation of Zhangye dialect vocabularyIn the first chapter, we analyzed the word-formation characteristics of Zhangye dialect vocabulary, mainly from the compound, the overlaps and additional three aspects.In the second chapter, we analyzed the Zhangye dialect vocabulary of words. Mainly from two aspects:direct naming and indirect naming.In the third chapter, we analyzed the different from word-formation and meaning of words with Zhangye dialect vocabulary and Putonghua. Word-formation aspects mainly from two aspects, syllable number and word formation morpheme has carried on the description and analysis. The Sematics mainly from the lexical meaning, grammatical meaning, colour meaning three angles are analyzed.In the fourth chapter, we analyzesd folk culture in Zhangye dialect vocabulary. Mainly from the marriage, funeral custom, diet to make a detailed description and study.The conclusion is a summary of the paper and the research prospect.
