Jane Austen,lived in the early eighteenth century. She swept the popular sentimentalism and Gothic novels, created a fresh wind of realism uniquely. Her works are mostly described the rural life has not been eroded by industrial revolution and capitalism, showing the marriage between ladies and gentlemen.However, the world in Jane Austen’s novels are not monotonous, it is a complex and intricate world surrounding by self-awareness and vision as well as all kinds of people’s views and opinions.The story seems to have the outcome, but in fact it is an unexpected ending.In this sense, Austin reflects the original complex side of the world, with a characteristic which perhaps transcend age. On her time and geographical point of view, the modern "ego" has just revealed the signs, socialization tide still far away.But Austen realized the division of the 18 th century "ego",questioned the "ego" first. As a woman, she described this rebellious spirit with a positive attitude,she sensitively felt of the increasing disintegration of the traditional world,had the desire deviated the group relations, and strived for more freedom. But as the Southern lady, she still had a kind of nostalgia to rural life. Therefore, these two different willpower on her own body will strongly contradict, making her "ego" is contradictory and split.This paper will use Jacques Lacan’s theory of mirror-image and the three realms(The Symbolic, The Imaginary, The Real) reveal the complex process of change. Lacan as the mid-20 th century French Freudians leader,is also undoubtedly the leader of the wave of deconstruction. Two different writers echoed bicentennial will give a new meaning to "Pride and Prejudice". In this paper, the mainline is the Elizabeth’s self-development, mean to explore the process of its creation to reconstruction,and eventually destruction.
