The Research On Unconventional Usage Of Several Prepositions In Modern Chinese Poetry

In modern Chinese poetry,the use of some prepositions such as "Zai" (在),"Yu " (于),"Cong" (从),"Xiang/xiangzhe" (向/向着),"Yanzhe" (沿着),"Dang"(当) and related structures show a lot of unconventional characteristics. which make the language of poetry unique.This paper analyzes the unconventional performance of these prepositions,and the causes and pragmatic effect.This paper is divided into six chapters:The first chapter is an introduction of this paper,which introduces the purpose, content and the present situation of the research.This chapter mainly introduces the occurrences of the poetry and prepositions in the structure in order to better illustrate the topic and purpose of this study.The second chapter makes a detailed analysis of unconventional usage of "Zai (在) +Positional phrases".I summarize the unconventional collocation and omission in modern Chinese poetry,as well as unconventional order and semantic collocation when they match with other ingredients.The third chapter discusses the unconventional usage of "Yu" (于) and "Xiyu (于) X2",which include the unconventional collocation of grammar and semantic, unconventional omit and redundant aspects.It has different performance in each aspect.The fourth chapter describes the unconventional use of several other prepositions except"Zai" (在),"Yu" (于) that have the typical unconventional usage-the unconventional usage of "Cong" (从),"Xiang/xiang zhe" (向/向着),"Yanzhe" (沿 着),"Dang" (当) and related structures, which perform in unconventional grammar and semantics collocation.The fifth chapter analyzes the reasons of these unconventional usage.In terms of the language of poetry, these factors include the "Defamiliarization",Europeanization, and rhythm features of poetry;In terms of language,Economy principle and ambiguity also have an impact on the unconventional usage,and "the special region of language" provides an important platform for it;In terms of the poet’s creation, these unconventional usage meet their needs of establishing images and expressing emotion.Conclusion part of this paper mainly summarize the contents of the full text and make a conclusion, then point out the shortcomings and issues of this paper that need to be researched in the future.
