Language is a skill that must be repeated in order to learn effectively, only to impart knowledge is not enough. The vocabulary is the cornerstone of language learning, if there is no words, communication can not be made. Therefore, whether the design and arrangements of vocabulary exercises is reasonable or not, and if it is helpful to improve students’ language skills or, is very important.In this paper, the study on Intermediate Comprehensive Chinese Course materials used four textbooks’ vocabulary exercises, the use of statistical methods of analysis, combined with some relevant theories, the results of previous studies and their own experience of teaching materials using vocabulary exercises conducted analysis. This article from the three aspects of the vocabulary exercises for analysis.First, the kinds of exercises, the kinds of exercises selected primary and secondary textbooks for statistical analysis, found that four kinds of textbooks set primary and secondary materials are not balanced. Exercises have selected a total of textbook reading, fill in the blank, complete the sentence with a specified word, expression exercises, individual settings are all kinds of exercises can be found in the corresponding teaching vocabulary, so different kinds of exercises training can be done through the different teaching methods.Second, the amount of exercises, the amount of these materials found vocabulary exercises per unit distribution is not very stable. The total amount of vocabulary exercises occupies textbook exercises in a large proportion of the amount, relatively speaking, other exercises will reduce the proportion of the overall learning ability of students do not work well.Third, the content of exercises, the content of vocabulary exercise is divided into five parts,just like perception exercises, comprehension exercises, imitative exercises, memory exercises, application exercises, statistical analysis of the materials found all kinds of contents of the selected textbook exercises set unreasonable in distribution per unit is not balanced, do not do content arrangements from the easier to the more advanced.Finally, according to the results of the vocabulary exercises, for lack of vocabulary exercises choreography suggestions: Exercises in the number of primary and secondary should be controlled and differentiate classroom practice and school practice; should reasonable allocation amount per unit vocabulary exercises, and in the case does not affect the amount of exercises to complete the task of teaching vocabulary; the ratio should be balanced arrangement of various types of content and its distribution in the exercise of each unit, and increase the applications exercises’ fun. In addition to suggestions for setting of the exercises, the paper also provides suggestions for the user, and hope this paper is helpful for the write and use of Comprehensive Chinese Textbook’ vocabulary exercises in the future.
