Research On The Path Of Promoting Chinese Cultural Soft Power

Cultural soft power is increasingly becoming an important indicator that is worldwide recognized to measure the development of a country,and has become a new field of international competition. China should especially focus on building and improving cultural soft power as their reality strategy. Thus, it appears particularly important to research Chinese cultural soft power theory, to explore countermeasures on the development of China cultural soft power.The first part introduces the connotation, the characteristics of the cultural soft power, and the significance of promoting Chinese cultural soft power. We have a very good understanding on the cultural soft power through the research on its connotation and characteristics; meanwhile, we also understand the important role of cultural soft power. The introduces on the cohesion, the attraction, the creativity, the leading force, the propagation force and the radiation force of cultural soft power give us great help on studying the existing problems of the cultural soft power and the countermeasures of promoting it. We must recognize the significance that studying culture soft power brings to us. Promoting Chinese cultural soft power benefits the enhancing of the national spirit, the changing of the producing mode, the promotion of our comprehensive national strength and the construction of our socialist harmonious society.The second part analyzes the status quo on the current development of Chinese cultural soft power research, including the achievements and existing problems. At present stage, Chinese cultural development is faced with all kinds of problems and challenges, such as the lack of development and utilization on traditional culture, the lack of creativity in cultural industry, the unbalance and discordance of cultural development level, the defect of national quality and the loss of talent, and a certain gap compared with international culture. In addition to the above problems,the Chinese culture is also faced with the great challenges from Western countries——the erosion and penetration of western strong culture. The coexistence of problems and challenges forms the current environment; therefore,we must speed up the construction of national cultural soft power.The third part expounds the paths to promote the cultural soft power. Under the background of the various challenges from both domestic and international cultural development, China needs to center on its own cultural idea, and endeavor to promote Chinese cultural soft power, which requires us to persist in using the Marxism to guide the construction of cultural soft power all the time, to insist on cultural consciousness, cultural confidence and cultural self-improvement research, to expand the international status of Chinese culture, to promote the exchange, fusion and match between Chinese and foreign culture, and to vigorously develop the cultural industry and the cultural undertaking, hence to develop our country from a great power with abundant cultural resources into a cultural economic power.
