Research On Promoting China's Cultural Soft Power And Countermeasures

In the 1990s,Joseph Nye first put forward the term 'soft power'.Later,the concept of soft power was spread to China and formed a distinctive concept of China's cultural soft power.At the 17th CPC National Congress,soft power was officially written into China's official documents.The 18th CPC National Congress explicitly stated that it is necessary to promote national cultural soft power and place the construction of cultural soft power in the integration of the political,economic,social and ecological construction.Soft power and hard power correspond to each other,and both components together constitute the comprehensive strength of a country.While promoting the country's hard power,it is particularly important for the country to enhance its soft power.Soft power is the capacity that carries its point by its attraction rather coercion and bribery.The attraction derives from the culture,political values and foreign policy of a country.The writer refines the theory of cultural soft power by consulting and studying the relevant literature about foreign views on soft power and China's cultural soft power.This paper focuses on studying China's cultural soft power from ideological level,institutional level and diplomatic level,highlighting the problems and countermeasures met in the development of China's cultural soft power.This paper is divided into six parts.The first makes an exposition of the research background and significance of China's cultural soft power,research status at home and abroad,research methods,innovation and shortcomings.The second part illustrates the connotation of cultural soft power and the corresponding relationship of research categories of China's cultural soft power.The third part expounds the achievements and significance of the development of China's cultural soft power.The fourth section studies the main content of our cultural power in ideological,institutional and diplomatic level.The fifth part makes a research on the problems of China's cultural soft power encountered in the development of ideological,institutional and diplomatic level.The last part puts forward several countermeasures to improve China's cultural soft power on the problems encountered in the development of China's cultural soft power in these levels.In the current fierce international competition,cultural soft power is playing an increasingly important role in comprehensive national strength.Various countries are attaching more and more importance to the external charisma and internal cohesion of cultural soft power.To enhance the national cultural soft power matters to the position of our country in the world cultural pattern,China's international status and international influence,making a special significance to building a socialist cultural power for China.Meanwhile,promoting cultural soft power is not only the requirement of carrying out the Scientific Outlook on Development,but also an important way to realize the China dream of Chinese nation's great rejuvenation.
