The Ping Yang plank lunar new year’s painting has a very long rich history,it is one of the earliest painting variety. Also it has ever reached its peak in the Song and Jin Dynasties, and today it becomes to one of the non-material cultural heritage. Because of the effect from Yellow River Valley arts and culture, The Ping Yang plank lunar new year’s painting becomes into the regional characteristics which is rugged, bold and unrestrained. Moreover, the high reference value of its profound cultural connotation,unique artistic charm and precise manufacture craft have influenced on modern animation.Chinese animation is based on traditional art at the beginning, and have a permanent relation with traditional art. It has experienced the infancy, developing and prosperity in nearly a century of development, and it is hailed as "Chinese School" since wining itself a place among the global animation based on its unique artistic style. However, Chinese animation has entered a bottleneck period where it is not close to tradition art any more.The purpose of this research is to make progress in animation creation according to the investigation of Ping Yang plank lunar new year’s painting, and the similarity between it and animation creation from literature review.Lastly, the creation of "Lucky God of Wealth" is based on the using of elements from Ping Yang plank lunar new year’s painting into creation of animation, and to explore a way that considering the characteristics of painting into account with creation of animation,and this research is very meaningful to the revival of Ping Yang painting and expansion of creative of Chinese animation.
