Shanxi is known as the "town of glass art in China ". The glass art was well developed during Ming and Qing dynasty. Guangsheng Temple’s feihongta was the best glass art of the Ming dynasty. According to the related information, the academic research on feihongta glass art is comparably weak; the most notes about it are simply experience and brief describes on newspaper or magazine. There is not any academic paper or professional monograph of it, so as its aesthetic culture value. However, the author believes researches on this art form have very important meaning and significant academic value. In the field of art research, there are countable number of academic researches about feihongta glass statue art, even the local scholars have very little attention on it. Although we all know the value of feihongta glass art, but there is not an academic paper or professional monograph about it. The author had visited feihongta and collected first hand information about it, such as photographs, related documents and monographs, which are used to support the purport of the article.The article has studied the art style of feihongta glass statue, and also analyzed different characters under their features, religious and geographical culture, in order to demonstrate its art style. After carefully study, author found the most glass statues are Wenshu Buddha, which had great influenced on geographical; the art style of those statues are Ming dynasty’s, which proved lots of information for researches about Shanxi glass art in Ming dynasty. Overall, feihongta glass statue art has great value on artistic and cultural level, which should has close attention from the community and well protection from the relevant departments.
