Studies Of The Aesthetic Representation Of The Legislative-text Translation From The Perspective Of Translation Aesthetics

With the profound transformation in the present world and the sustainable development of international corporation, the introduction and dissemination of laws and regulations of China have important implication for the development of international economy and trade. In the research about translation of Chinese legislative texts, numerous traditional translation theories elaborate from the perspective of pure linguistics. Translation aesthetics not only enriches translation theories but also provides us a brand new perspective to understand and to disseminate the English version of Chinese laws and regulations.Translation aesthetics is the fusion of translation and aesthetics. To investigate the legislative translation from the perspective of translation aesthetics is advantageous to the promotion of the cognition on the target texts of the readers in target language. Hence the dissemination of Chinese laws and regulations and the construction of rule of law are promoted as well.The thesis analyzes English versions of General Principles of Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China from the language and beyond the language dimensions from the perspective of translation aesthetics and reveals the guidance of translation aesthetics on the legislative translation practice.
