| The sales of communication products contain customized channels and traditional social channels. In the mode of operator customization, communication terminal sales are controlled by the operator, and manufacturers only need to be responsible to the operators. With the evolution of manufacturing production mode and economic development, while focusing on good function products before, consumers now more likely prefer diversified and individualized ones. Therefore, operators have to provide a variety of personalized customized products. On the one hand, operators try to attract customers through designing personalized appearance; on the other hand, they build brand image by packing products with distinct brand features to be competitive among other operators. Besides in the customization of terminal software and hardware, operators also require differently in surface treatment technics (finishing) to deliver different experience for organ with various colors, textures and decorations. With the mode of operator customization, the applications of surface treatment technics (finishing) in the phrases of product development, promotion and the golden period of product life cycle will be changed according to operators’needs. Based on operator customization model and product life cycle, this article deals with the application of communication terminal’s surface treatment technics (finishing) in the design area.This paper is based on product life cycle theory to study customized communication terminal’s classification and stage characteristics in the life cycle, testifies the relevancy between operator customized product life cycle and surface treatment technics, and presents a life cycle design thinking in surface treatment design process. Furthermore, according to products’different characteristics in different stages of life cycle, this article also analyzes the application rules of products surface treatment in different stages; to meet operators’demands, this paper presents a application method of surface treatment; based on the above two points, this paper delivers a surface treatment application model, making the application of surface treatment process more scientific and reasonable. Finally, a practical project verifies the application model of surface treatment technics. |
