Humane Logo Information Design Of Subway Transfer Space

The ground traffic jam caused by city expansion is accelerating the development of metro traffic, so the urban traffic will become traffic network with the metro as the core.As a result, the metro transfer junctions will also be the comprehensive spaces that integrate multiple functions. In the complex transfer spaces, the transfer symbol information system has turned into indispensable factors to guarantee the rapid gather and distribution for people, to ensure the accuracy and efficiency for transfer and to realize the convenient trip for passengers.How the design of metro transfer symbol information meets the humanization demands is discussed in this thesis. Firstly the related theories are summarized, such as the urban metro transfer space, metro symbol system and humanized design. By the field research of the metro transfer symbols in Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing, and with the study of the current transfer symbol design in the foreign cities that are equipped with advanced metro system, the factors for humanized symbol information design have been summarized by comparison and analysis. Besides, the symbol information design in Xi’an North Avenue Transfer Station has been investigated and analyzed in detail, and the users as well as the employ conditions have been surveyed in ways of questionnaire and experiment. As a result, the current symbol information design situation and the shortcomings to be improved in the transfer space of North Avenue Station are summarized, and some suggestions are also presented. In the last chapter, the development trend of humanized symbol information design is analyzed and a new scheme for the humanized symbols in North Avenue Station is designed.The important influences of the humanization to the metro space and the space symbol information design are stated in the angle of human first, by the comprehensivestudy of the psychology, behavior and symbol effects of the passengers in the specific metro transfer space. With the study above, may the designers pay enough attention to the humanized design, so as to realize the humanized urban metro symbol information design that more fits the step of times, bringing better convenience and experience for human trip.
