Application Of Socialization Of Chinese Kinship Terms

This article is based on generalization of kinship address terms dama to research which mainly concerns the elder female relatives from the imitation of relative address to be used as stigmatized labels. The thesis aims to explore the social cognition of the appellation in modern society through the semantic and pragmatic functions of description and comparison with other relative appellation, and analyze the social factors of using and refusing to use address terms dama.The thesis selects the questionnaires and interviews as the main survey method,with 20 to 30 years old of young adult and 30 to 40 years old of middle-aged as the main body to do a national questionnaire distribution, which contributes to explore the degree of using with relative address dama and obtains the firsthand material. We also discuss dama from the aspects of language usage and language attitude of the relative appellation of dimensional analysis, as a result to provide the reference for the assessment of this relative address of the term dama from honour to pejoration.The content consists of six chapters. Chapter one is an overview of research content, purpose and significance, research background and research methods.Chapter two address the term dama from diachronic aspects of semantics to discuss and analyze the selection criteria, also the reason to the generalization of the relatives address dama generalization. Chapter three is pragmatic analysis, including the principles of pragmatics, pragmatic functions and changes of pragmatic functions and context of social cognition. Chapter four has compared with some similar relative addresses with dama through semantic and pragmatic analysis. Chapter five is the social linguistic research of dama, mainly to find out the factors which influence the use of dama. Chapter six is the summary of this whole thesis, also includes the discussion to the stigmatization phenomenon of dama and the social reflection.
