| The research for appellation is an important part of the study for Chinese vocabulary, andthe research of appellation in the drama work of Yuan dynasty is the important link of thestudy for recent epoch of Chinese.The appellation word in Yuan dynasty can be divided into two big system——thesystem of appellation for relatives; the system of appellation for the Social. The system ofappellation for relatives can be divided into four types: the appellation of lineal bloodrelatives，the appellation of offshoot blood relatives, the appellation of immediate kinsmen byaffinity and the appellation of offshoot kinsmen by affinity. The system of appellation for theSocial can be divided into two types, one is the appellation for Professional, another is theappellation for attributes. The appellation for the professional also can be divide into officialsand soldiers, merchant and handicraftsmen, farmers and students, servant and employees,prostitutes and so on. The appellation for attributes can be divided into attributes of naturaland the attributes of social. The appellation word on Oral in yuan dynasty didn’t as stable asrecord in the dictionary. It was a active system, one word has many meanings and there werealso two or more meanings represented by one word.The system of appellation for relatives and the system of appellation for the social werenot closed, there were many extensions, and those extensions we called generalization ofappellation. Generalization of appellation in the drama work of Yuan dynasty an be dividedinto four types: the appellation for relatives generalize to social, the appellation for socialgeneralize to relatives, the appellation for relatives generalize internal and the appellation forsocial generalize internal.The generalization of appellation were caused by their own reasonsalso influenced by other social culture. The purpose of generalization were to accomplishedcommunication better, changed existing relationship and so on. |
