In Baroque Ages, “Bel canto”appeared and made great progress as a new way of singing,in this era, Handel was born and made great contribution to “Bel canto”. “Bel canto” was sopopular as a new way of singing that it is still imitated by many composers until now. Handelhad improved the “Bel canto”to a new height and he was no doubt one of the representativefigures in Baroque Ages.In Baroque Ages, composers had created many works and Italian singers spread theseworks and “Bel canto”to all Europe, so we can also appreciate many creations now. Handel’smethod of composing is with great significance to vocal music art. He had studied deeplyabout the musical form, melody, harmony, piano accompaniment and manifestation form, andhad gained many important achievements in opera and oratorio field. He is also called” Themaster of oratorio”. His works are not only full of emotion but also full of dignity. Theycombine the grandness and morbidezza and their melody is always graceful. Handel made the“Bel canto” reach the peak and his works are excellent textbooks from which students willlearn theory and skill of singing.This paper focuses on Handel’s life, interests and so on to analyzes his creative style.Through appreciating Handel’s work, this paper needs to study deeply the skill of singing inthese compositions and Handel’s contribution to vocal music art.
