An Approach To Thelmagination And Emotion Design In Vocal Art

Just as emotion is one of the essential and indispensible characteristics of all forms of art, emotion design is a significant component of vocal art. In this paper, the function of imagination and emotion Design in Vocal Art are analysed.Using the art song "Asking the Clouds" as a particular case, the present paper gives a detailed analysis of the major steps of emotion design in its vocal performance:from emotional experience to imaginative design and then to vocal interpretation. Through specific examples, this paper demonstrates not only the much enhanced effect of vocal artistic expression after the emotion design is introduced into the actual performance, but also the author’s reflections upon this topic.
