The study is to explore the influence of introducing vocational culture to English class on the motivation of students` English learning in Vocational College. The subjects are two nursing classes in Xi`An Hai Tang Vocational College. The study lasted for 4 months. In the studying processing, the methods of experimental approach and questionnaire, interview were adopted. At the same time, software SPSS 20.0 was used as a data analysis tool. The two sets of questionnaires(subtle differences) were distributed to experimental group and control group successively. One set is for pre-test, and the other is for post-test, including 7 dimensions in each set of questionnaires. They are interest, purpose,intensity,attribution,tendency, valence, self-efficacy and environment. In each dimension, several items are contained. Compared experimental group with control class, there are apparent difference in many aspects, such as interest, goal-oriented, good learning habits, attribution tendency, success experience. At the same time, there are also big difference within experimental class by pre-test and post-test during vocational culture teaching for 4 months. 4 students were randomly chosen from control group as interviewees in order to check whether their interest in learning English is improved or not. The result was as the same as what we predicted. What`s more, through independent-sample T test, there are existing difference between two groups in final exam scores, but no obvious difference. That`s to say, the experimental group made a little progress compared to the control group.Therefore, research results show that for non-English majors in vocational college, introducing vocational culture to English class can effectively stimulate their English learning motivation by supplementing vocational English culture into their English class.
