Music can not stray from music tone. Music tone is its important prosperity and plays an important role to music workers and learners as much as air to human life. However, the study of pitch is usually thought to be the duty of temperament scientists. Temperament in music, an important representation element and means, belongs to a frontier and interdisciplinary science of a small mass is generally ignored by many music workers. The author is graduated from music education department of China conservatory of music and works now as a piano technician. These years I am interested in science and pitch finished the thesis under the supervision of my tutor. The subject of the paper is the inaccuracy of the pitch of the same tone, that is the non-uniqueness of the same tone in music theory and deviation of tone frequency from theory frequency in music practice. The following research methods are adopted in this paper:1. Temperament history in and abroad is roughly hackled with literature research method.2.The phenomenon of music practice is analyzed with observation method.3.The theoretical data of pitch frequency is counted with math’s method.4.Some phenomenon of music tone is measured and recorded with experimental method.Through the above analysis the paper draws a conclusion that the pith of the same tone is forever deviated from theoretical tone. It pointed out that the active application of inaccuracy of the pitch is a very important representation means which is ignored for a long time.It is concluded that the deviation of pitch in music is an important representation means. This study has a value in promoting major epistemology and practice. If properly applied, it will play a driving role in the improvement of musical expression.
