Book of Songs, as the first general poetry anthology of China, has been studied by literati and scholars of all dynasties over its spread of more than two thousand years.However, in the history of the study of Book of Songs, its confucian classics explanation resides in the mainstream status, while the artistic and literary interpretations are in the weak trend.As is known, Qing Dynasty epitomized academic achivements.The study of Book of Songs not only drawed in the study achievements of the past dynasties, but also started a new trend. Based on the study in Song and Ming Dynasty, the scholars of Qing Dynasty began to pay more attention to the literary interpretation of Book of Songs. A number of poetry talks were created in Qing Dynasty, among which the literary interpretation of Book of Songs account for the majority. Besides, the authors of the poetry talks included poets, scholars, confucianists and even those with multiple-identity. The diversity of their identities contributed to the hierarchy of the studies of Book of Songs. As a result, the paper collects the items on poetry from Qing Dynasty’s poetry talks and adopts case study to discuss the literary study of Book of Songs in Qing Dynasty in order to make up a deficiency to a more comprehensive and full study of Book of Songs.The preface introduces the literary study of Book of Songs and the creation of Qing Dynasty’s poetry talks. The following three chapters, in time sequence, introduce the study separately in the earlier, mid and latter period of Qing Dynasty. Each chapter elaborates the general characters of each period, and then adopts case study to discuss the literary interpretation of Book of Songs in Qing Dynasty’s poetry talks.
