This report is presented in the format of practice report based on the real interpretation experience of the author. It is on the basis of the author’s experience as the interpreter for the International Conference on Multiculture and Education.The report takes the skopos theory as theoretic support. The focus will be laid on the preparations made before the conference, in the mean time, the author will give some suggestions for the problems in the process of simultaneous interpretation.The report is divided into five parts. In the first part the author gives a brief introduction to the task. The second part mainly talks about the preparations the author has made for this task including text translation, the translation of some words and long sentences, getting familiar with PPT, conference hall and the equipment. The third part mainly focuses on the theory, namely, the skopos theory, from its development to the contents.In the fourth part, the author concludes the use of the theory in the interpretation and proposes relevant suggestions. The fifth part of this report is the reflection part. In this part the author draws conclusions of the problems in the interpretation as well as the mistakes,which mainly are the interpretation of words and long sentences lack of preparation and mis-interpretation. In this part the author analyzes the problems with examples from the interpretation experience and makes a reflection and also analyses the strong and weak points of the interpretation, and also makes some advice for the coming research and study.
