With the development of China’s social and economic, the rising international status, globalization and the form of cross-cultural communication demand grow with each passing day, more and more central Asia students come to study in China. Teaching Chinese as a second language constantly showing a booming trend. At the same time, the important status of culture courses teaching is increasingly prominent. Thus it is significant to analyze the present situation of culture courses teaching. The research mainly adopts questionnaire and interview. The research object is the Xinjiang Normal University College of international cultural exchanges from 2009-present teaching practice. Firstly elaborate the relationship between language and culture, culture in teaching Chinese as a second language and the meaning of culture class teaching in teaching Chinese as a second language. Then analyze the curriculum, curriculum test, students’ preference and the reason and the demands of the students. And summarize the characteristics of culture teaching overseas students. Finally summarize the obtained achievements and existing insufficient in the culture courses teaching. |
