| As a special group, the officers and soldiers of our army are mostly living in tough environment, training strictly and boring, lack entertainment activities and take a lot of responsibility and preparation for war. Fewer psychological studies could be found among soldiers stationed in the island. The conditions on island are tough, the environment is harsh, they lack social interaction. Their psychological conflict and mental issue should be of concern. In 2014, there are studies for soldiers stationed in island on happiness and mental health. However, the study of positive factors that influence the level of mental health such as emotional state, resilience, life satisfaction is still blank.Study among college students found that mental state not only directly affects the individual’s life satisfaction but also promote or reduce life satisfaction by affect resilience. To verify this conclusion among the group of officers and soldiers stationed in the island, so as to explore the relationship of mental states, resilience and life satisfaction, and to test if resilience is mediator of the relationship between emotional state and life satisfaction. Provide a theoretical basis for array mental health service activities (group training, education, preaching) that increasing positive mood and resilience is a way to increase life satisfaction and mental health. Cause attention to importance of building resilience in counselling.The study uses the positive and negative affect scale, Connor-Davidson resilience scale, scale of life satisfaction of index of well-being, among 384 young officers and soldiers stationed in the island, investigates the emotional state, the level of resilience and life satisfaction level, examines and analysis the mediation of resilience between emotional state and life satisfaction. The emotional state includes positive emotion, negative emotion two dimensions. Resilience includes optimism, tenacity and strength three dimensions. Use SPSS 13.0 to hierarchical regression analysis, test the resilience mediating effects on the relationship between emotional state and life satisfaction. The data showed the following results:There are significant differences in new recruits within six month, Six months to two years soldiers and veteran on emotional state, resilience and life satisfaction. There are significant differences between university degree or equivalent soldiers and undergraduate soldiers on resilience. There is a significant correlation among emotional state, resilience and life satisfaction of officers and soldiers stationed in the island. Resilience played full mediating role among positive emotion and life satisfaction. Resilience played part of a mediating role among negative emotion and life satisfaction.Based on these findings, the study concluded that:(1) Resilience of soldiers owns university degree is higher than ones below.(2) The more positive emotions they have, less negative emotions they feel, the stronger resilience they own, and life satisfaction is higher.(3) Officers and soldiers stationed in the island’s emotional state can directly affect the level of life satisfaction, they experience more positive emotions, the less negative emotions, life satisfaction is higher. Meanwhile, the mental state can indirectly affect the level of life satisfaction by resilience. |
