The main subject of this research paper is the ideology of compassion in Buddhism and the ideology of benevolence in Confucianism. It reviews basis and systematic theory in the literature, systematically summarizes the previous research, and then carry out the problems in the multi-level aspect.The ideology of compassion in the Buddhism is the practice of morality, rich ethical connotation, vividly embodies the Buddhism humanism. It is based on the profound philosophical origin of law. The word is full of compassion, kindness and mercy, for mercy with numerous living beings, as large amount of vanity, like sand week mind, compassion is equal to no difference of love, compassion, without any obstacles, it is beyond time and space. By not killing, giving the practical way of thought, Buddhism is the great mercy that reveals the Enlightenment of life and true respect, equality, peace of mind.In this paper, the "The Analects of Confucius", "The Four Books" serve as representation of the ideology of benevolence in Confucianism. "Benevolence" is the core value of the basic norms and ethics of Confucianism. "The Analects of Confucius" has abundant of meaning regarding benevolence; its interpretation is love, which also can be "the benevolent love". "Benevolence" is a kind of love from family, society, and nature of the country and even the whole world, universal love. Benevolence reflected from the inside out, from the meet dear to the thinning of the love is used to deal with the relationship between man and man, man and society, man and nature, moral standard. This paper focus on the "benevolence" which is interpreted as "love".The Buddhism ideology of compassion and China virtue culture of Confucianism ideology of benevolence, have their own deep connotation, essential characteristics, has become the human pursuit of good moral character. In this paper, the researcher by consulting obtained relevant literature data explain the two related content, by analyzing data combined with linguistics, philosophy, ethics, and carries on the comparison, two have a great similarity, there are also many similarities and differences, The researcher is hoping that this study hopes to be helpful.
