A Philological Study Of The Dunhuang Manuscripts On The Yaoshi Liuli Guang Rulai Benyuan Gongde Jing

Yaoshi Liuli Guang Rulai Benyuan Gongde Jing (药师琉璃光如来本愿功德经),one volume, translated by Xuan Zang (玄奘)of the Tang dynasty. It narrates Buddha’s merits, recruited in the fourteenth volume of Tasho Tanon. It is a classic Indian Mahayana Buddhism. There have been five translations:(1) Bo Shi Li Mi Duo Luo(帛尸梨蜜多罗)translated Guanding Bachu Guozui Shengsi Dedu Jing (佛说灌顶拔除遇罪生死得脱经)in Jianwu first year-the first year Yongchang of Dong Jin dynasty(317-322).(2)Hui Jian (慧简) translated Yaoshi Liuli Guang Jing(药师琉璃光经)in the first year of Darning of Liu Song dynasty(457)(3) Da Mo Ji Duo(逵摩笈多)translated Yaoshi Rulai Benyuan Jing (佛说药师如来本愿经)in the first year of Changda of Sui dynasty(615).(4) Xuan Zang (玄奘)translated Yaoshi Liuli Guang Rulai Benyuan Gongde Jinga(药师琉璃光如来本愿功德经) in the first year of Yonghui of Tang dynasty(650).(5)Yi Jing (义净)translated Yaoshi Liuli Guang Qifo Benyuan Gongde Jing(药师琉璃光七佛本愿功德经)in the first year of Jinglong of Tang dynasty.By general survey, there are 361 pieces of Yaoshi Liuli Guang Rulai Benyuan Gongde Jinga (药师琉璃光如来本愿功德经)were published at present, in which S.135 and BD14150 are unbroken, others are all broken scrolls. This paper mainly discussed narrative catalogue, denominating, rejoining. Firstly, write the catalogue of named handwriting copies. Secondly, denominating the 92 pieces of unnamed fragments, including eleventh volume-seventeenth volume in the Russian Collectio (俄藏)and the fragments after S.8400.Thirdly, By a comparison, there are 28 pieces can be rejoined into 14 groups in the 361 pieces of Yaoshi Liuli Guang Rulai Benyuan Gongde Jinga(蔡师琉璃光如来本愿功德经)...
