On Decorative Image And Cultural Implication Of Cloth Tigers In The South And Southeast Of Shanxi Province

Cloth tigers are folk handicrafts circulate widely in China. Theyact as important representatives of traditional folk in studying thecharacteristics of folk arts and crafts, and in learning the traditionalfolk culture. In this paper, cloth tigers, mainly in the south andsoutheast of Shanxi Province are presented and analyzed,from theaspect of their graphical modeling, decorative image and culturalimplication two regions folk cloth tiger, I hope that people can have aninitial awareness and understanding of cloth tigers in these tworegions. At the same time, because of China’s folk culture continuesto be disseminated by Western culture, some traditional folkcraftsmanship are constantly lost, cloth tigers are one of the them.These precious cultural heritages should never be ignored. Therefore,we need to pay strong attention and take appropriate measures for toprotection them. It is worth noting that, with respect to thesetraditional folk arts and crafts, how to make better continuity for theirinherent cultural implication and spiritual connotation, is worthy ofour consideration and exploration.
