Castle Of Hedong In The Wei Jin Beichao Dynasty

This thesis discusses Hedong castle respectively from twoaspects: the civilian aspect and the military aspect. Both aspectshave distinctive geographical features. In the chaos period of the Weiand Jin Beichao Dynasties, for about hundreds of years, as a regionaldefensive organization at the grass-roots level, Hedong folk Castlehas not destroyed by Hu group even under the strong pressure ofFive-hu Regime, in contrast, it became the object of regimes rushedto woo; As a government military castle, the widespread existence inHedong region and its great function in the war become the researchmotivation of the author.So the author makes meso-level of the regional history as theobservation point, selects and weaknesses of the former researchersabout the castle and effectively communicates and integrates variousresearch ideas, so as to deeply analyze and enrich our understandingof the dock wall as well as the middle regional social change. Thecombination of physical dock wall and local area reflects the regionalcharacteristics of castle and also vividly reflects the local socialactivities.In order to make clear the general situation of Hedong district castle, the author analyses the writing based on the basic unscrambleof historical materials. First, in the process of writing, first of all, theauthor makes meso-level of the regional history as the observationpoint and systemizes the unique geographic environment, familyculture, the economic base, national distribution and so on in theinternal Hedong region and its surroundings, then the author narratesthe prerequisites of which the castle can exist in Hedong region;Second, the author field visits the site of castle and draws thegeographical distribution of Hedong district castle with thecombination of both historical data and field entity, in order to makepeople more intuitively understand the distribution of Hedong regioncastle; Third, the author explores the living style in the internal castlethrough internal mechanisms, economic operations and militarystructures so as to divide the existing dock wall in Hedong region intofour types: refugees, magnates, Hu group and government military. Inaddition, the author selects the special cases for brief analyzing; Four,the author describes the decisive role of the military castle throughspecific warfare cases and highlights the importance of militarycastle in the ancient war, which reflects that the later generationspay great attention to the military castle for against the northernnomadic people; Five, the author reflects the influence on the wholeenvironment at that time through the castle’s relationship with thecentral government; Six, the author finally points out that theNorthern Wei Dynasty has implemented three long system and landequalization policies which let the castle became a new kind ofsettlement organization “village” and created a new situation in theprimary administrative system.
