| The definition of culture is extensive, but in TCSL extraction of cultural factorsis necessary."Cultural factors" here refer to culture involved in TCSL, namely thecommunicative culture foreigners need to grasp in learning and understandingChinese, further chatting with Chinese people. At the same time the cultural factorsare also most closely related to language communication and directly influence theeffect of TCSL, besides they are the national culture which affects foreign learners touse and communicate.This paper aims to make statistical analysis of culture factors in DevelopingChinese Intermediate Reading Course Volume I&II, and discusses the selection ofculture factors from future reading classes and principles in culture teaching accordingto the author’s teaching practical experience. In addition, the author based on culturalfactors in the textbooks and the characteristics as well as the teaching practice,presents culture teaching methods during lead-in and text-explanation in the form ofcases, including video lead-in cultural background knowledge, scene lead-in culture,picture lead-in, culture comparison and contrast, integration of culture factors, etc.The paper is divided into four parts:Chapter I is Introduction, introduces the reason, research significance, researchmethods and research review of this thesis, and further defines some terms in thispaper.Chapter II is about the analysis of culture factors in Developing Chinese Intermediate Reading Course Volume I&II. This chapter makes census andclassification of culture factors in textbooks, and makes analysis. Besides it discussesthe features of presentation characteristics of cultural factors, meanwhile makescomparative analysis of culture factors involved in Volume I&II.Chapter III is the case studies of cultural factors in classroom teaching. On thebasis of classification and analysis of culture factors in textbooks, this chapter givesteaching opinions about culture factors in TCSL intermediate reading classes in theform of cases according to the author’s practical teaching experience.Chapter IV is teaching recommendations for TCSL reading classes. This chaptermainly puts forward the author’s opinions and suggestions for future teaching ofculture factors in TCSL reading classes. This chapter further proposes the basicprinciples to be followed in the classroom teaching, including the principle ofmoderation; the principle of pertinence; the principle of representativeness;development principles; principles of learning for practice. |
