In twenty-first Century, the mankind entered the information age, knowledge and scienceand technology has become the core competitiveness, the computer is widely used in all walks oflife, become an indispensable things in our life, thought, inner spiritual needs and artistic peopleare also printed on the information age imprinted.In such a social background, nonlinear architecture to the nonlinear science as thetheoretical basis of a strange exaggerated, vivid lines smooth rise straight from the ground, suchas a piece of science fiction city sculpture stands in the city, constantly hitting people eyeball,concussion of traditional aesthetics. Jewelry design in this kind of environment influence, shouldalso introduce new technology, new ideas, provide more possibilities for jewelry art creation andthe larger development space.This paper attempts to integrate computer aided design and manufacture (CAD-CAM) isapplied to the design and production of modern jewelry. The research described firstly, thedesign method of parameter design and3D printing technology, advanced description method ofparametric design and3D printing technology; and through the review of jewelry design,processing history, the traditional design and making method and the parametric design and3Dprinting technology carries on the contrast analysis, proves that the parametric design and3Dprinting technology used in jewelry design has the absolute advantage, and from the history,market and art representation of each point of view of the necessity of its application.Finally, through the innovation practice of the author, to illustrate the application ofparametric design and3D printing technology for complex shape design jewelry making, injewelry design. And some problems have been summarized to provide reference for subsequentresearch work.
