Studies Of Lao Zi’ Water Government Thought

Lao Zi is a great philosopher, ideologist and the founder of Taoism in ancient China. His book Lao Zi is extensive and profound, referring to various aspects from politics, economics to culture and etc. Especially his ideology of "ruling people like the water’s kindness and dedication" has far-reaching influence to the later generations and has important position in Chinese ideology and culture. In recent years, with the system transition, social structure change and social formation transformation, Lao Zi’s ideology of "ruling people like the water’s kindness and dedication" has conjunction point with the management style of the modern society. It can be said that Lao Zi’s ideology of "ruling people like the water’s kindness and dedication" has great theoretical significance and practice value to the contemporary era’s governing philosophy and strategy of ruling a state, and is the origin of Chinese ideology to the ruling of a country like water.This dissertation takes the introduction as part one. Secondly, it confirms the ideological principle of Lao Zi’s ideology-ruling according to the human nature. In the end, it expounds the ideological core of Lao Zi’s ideology of "ruling people like the water’s kindness and dedication", and finds out its method, which is not unconscionable, not disturbing, to benefit the universe and not arguing.
