Abstract:This paper discusses "bu yao tai X","ai V buV ","S+V+shen me+O"of the three structures by Construction Grammar theory in detail, which is based on the corpus of Peking University. This paper is divided into three parts, where the discussion in each chapter mainly includes the following aspects:semantics, syntax, pragmatics, and comparision with other similar structures, structure analysis etc.The first part focouses on the"bu yao tai X"construction, which mainly discusses its expression of speakers’ exclamation and praise feelings, and highlights the extremely extent of X, similar to Chinese"ji le", meaning affirmation. The structure can be used as the predicate and the complement part in syntax."Tai" is the stress in the structure and deepens the degree of effects, without any other ingredients between it and "bu yao", in which what it describes must have occurred. The second part analyzes the "ai V bu V’construction with the key point of "ai li bu li" which has the highest frequency of occurrence. The meaning of this construction is that hearers or action stakeholders could choose at their convenience, often with discontent. It acts as the predicate in a sentence, condensing from "ru guo ai V,na me jiu V;ru guo bu ai V,na me jiu bu V".The third part analyzes the "S+V+shen me+O" construction. Its constructional meaning is that the speaker thinks there is not a quits or generic relationship between the subject and the object, namely the subject is not (or can’t be counted/called, etc.) the object, reflecting negation. In this construction,"shen me" modifies "O", and its questionable effect turns into negative effect, combined with the construction itself together to express negative judgment.
