| Neo Confucianism of Song Dynasty and Ming Dynasty was a very importantperiod in the development of ancient Chinese thought, and it also occupies a specialposition in the development process of Chinese philosophy. Among them, the debateabout the difference between Zhu Xi’s thought and Lu Jiuyuan’s thought was beenconcerned during the development process of the discipline. In the process ofreconciling the difference, the scholar who called Cheng Minzheng made animportant cultural contribution.In the mid-Ming Dynasty, in order to reverse the wrong academic thought whichthink that ‘Zhu Xi’s thought is right and Lu Jiuyuan’s thought is wrong’, and topromote the development of Neo Thinking, academics launched a trend of thoughtthat ‘put the idea of Zhu Xi and Lu Jiuyuan integrate’. On the basis of previousthought, the scholar who called Cheng Minzheng made notes for Zhen Dexiu’s book"The Heart Sutra" with a lot of words about the thought of the mind theory whichproposed by the scholars from Song Dynasty and Yuan Dynasty, the new book called"The Heart Sutra Notes ". In the book, the author draws heavily on the mind of ZhuXi’s motto about mind theory, this book highlights the idea of Zhu Xi’s mind theoryamong his Neo Thinking. At the same time, Cheng Minzheng compiled a new bookcalled "The Unified Principium" which recodes the Zhu Xi’s letters and Lu Jiuyuan’sletters, in the book, he compiled Zhu Xi’s thought with Lu Jiuyuan’s thought. At theend, he proposed an academic point of view that Zhu Xi’s thought was different fromLu Jiuyuan’s in the early years, but in the later years the idea of two people are thesame. He put the thought of Lu Jiuyuan and Zhu Xi unified. In this article, the studyof Cheng Minzheng’s philosophical thought mainly based on the two books—"TheHeart Sutra Notes " and "The Unified Principium". Based on the thinking of Zhu Xi’sthought and Lu Jiuyuan’s t thought through the books, we hope to conduct a thorough research on Cheng Minzheng’s philosophical thought.This paper mainly study the Cheng Minzheng’s philosophy thought following theseveral parts: in the introduction part, I mainly introduce the current literature on theresearch status of Cheng Minzheng’s thought and the reason why I write this article;in the first part of the article, I mainly introduce the life of Cheng Minzheng and hisacademic achievements briefly; in the second part of the article is mainly about thestudy of Cheng Minzheng’s philosophical thought through the ideological content ofthe books—"The Heart Sutra Notes " and "The Unified Principium"; in the third partof the article, I will analyze the psychological development of the Ming Dynasty fromCheng Minzheng; at last, I will introduce the impact of Cheng Minzheng onConfucianism in East Asian. |
